Obscure Grapes in California: Wine & Spirits article

Sam Bilbro of Idlewild Wine came up with an idea–all small producers pouring wines from less common grape varieties. He shared the thought with Duncan Arnot Meyers, and Nathan Roberts of Arnot-Roberts. The group then went to Kevin Wardell and Sarah Johnson of Bergamot Alley who signed on to host. The event, the 7%Solution, happened last month in Healdsburg, California with some attendees driving several hours to taste. Bilbro’s idea highlights another aspect of the exciting shifts happening in California wine.  Following is an article in Wine & Spirits that explores how.
