Wine Without Worry Podcast “All Your Summer Wines”
Skype tasting with Jameson Fink
Jameson Fink writes one of my favorite wine blogs, Wine Without Worry. It consistently brings the perfect combination of insight and charm. He also hosts the Wine Without Worry Podcast, a series of interesting interviews worth checking out.
As some of you know, he and I have been collaborating, sending each other wine back and forth from our respective states, then Skype tasting together. He’s in Seattle, Washington. I’m in Sonoma, California. Recently we sent each other rosés (and a sparkling Riesling) from our two states. Then Jameson recorded the conversation as we Skyped through the wines.
what Skype tasting looks like
This morning, Wine Without Worry’s Podcast features a conversation on summer wines between Jameson and me. We discuss Santa Barbara and San Diego wine country, red wines for summer, pizza rosés, and rosés of Washington.
I’m so excited to be part of Jameson’s podcast series. Check it out!
The show’s just under 30-minutes.

Incidentally, the J. Brix sparkling Riesling we discuss is a pet-nat. Pet-nat sparkling is made in the methode ancestrale style, an earlier method of making champagne-style sparkling wine. Secondary fermentation does happen in bottle, but the wine is left unfiltered with yeast remaining in bottle. Before you open pet-nat wines make sure it’s extra chilled to lessen the bubbling over. Then enjoy!
In this show we discuss wines from the following labels: J.Brix, Vesper Vineyards, Tranche Cellars, Gilbert Cellars. We also mention wines from the following labels: Matthiasson, Tatomer, Qupe, Andrew Murray, Tensley, Channing Daughters, Eyrie, Teutonic, and others.
