Wow – not a single Grenache from Washington, where the grape has been grown since the 1960s! Keeping the acid up with Washington Grenache is not a problem, and the wines, whether blended or 100% varietal, can be absolutely stunning. It would have made for an excellent comparison to all the California entries.
