I decided this week to go ahead and focus on variations of French Sparkling Wines.

This sparkling Vouvray offers an affordable option in French Sparkling wines. Made outside the champagne region, and with grapes other than the traditional champagne three (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier), this wine is still made with the traditional bubblee method, known as methode champenoise, or, as labeled here, methode traditionelle. In this approach the bubbles many of us love are brought into the wine through a fermentation within the bottle itself.
